•  A woman’s uterus expands to more than 500 times its normal size over the course of a pregnancy

•  Hypertension: Methyldopa, Hydralazine etc., found safer in pregnant women Usage of ACE Inhibitors may leads to foetal damage, Growth retardation. Non Selective β blockers may leads to neonatal bradycardia and other foetal disorders. (REF: K.D. Tripati, Essentials of pharmacology, Pg: 572.)
• Diabetes: Insulin remains best drug for treating Gestational diabetes.
• Fever: Pracetamol founds safer for fever in pregnant women.
